Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question? Others do, too. Here are some of the most commonly-asked questions about the iPride Cup.

Typically, it takes about 1 1/2 years from the start of the process. Prospective cities are required to attend 2 iPride Softball meetings (held in the winter and summer) before being selected as a Member City / Association.

Absolutely not. iPride encourages each of its Member Cities & Associations to manage and run their local leagues as they see fit to maintain a competitive and welcoming atmosphere for their local members.

The annual membership fee for iPride Softball Member Cities & Associations is outlined in the Governing Manual. In addition to the yearly membership fee, Member Cities & Association are expected to send at least one (1) representative to the Winter and Summer meetings.

There are seven (7) divisions of play in iPride: A, B, C, D, E, Legends C, and Legends D, with the A division being the highest level of competition. These divisions are used in the iPride Cup and GSWS (and most Member City / Association tournaments), but leagues may opt to use their own division breakdowns for their seasons.

iPride has a comprehensive player skills rating system that is used to determine the appropriate division for each player. The ratings apply to all players participating in the iPride Cup and GSWS (and most Member City / Association tournaments), but leagues may opt to utilize a different structure for their seasons.
